This three unit housing project was designed in a traditional style to fit with the surrounding neighbourhood and conform to the design guide- lines established by the City of Vancouver Planning Department.

The project consists of two separate buildings. An existing "character" single family dwelling fronting on Cornwall Street was moved forward on the site and converted to two "side by side" duplex units. A new single family in-fill unit was added to the rear yard of the site. This in-fill building also encloses parking garages for two cars. An open parking space for a third car is located to the east of the in-fill building.

Both buildings were detailed in a similar fashion with gable brackets, exposed rafter tails, and other traditional features. The lower portions of each building are clad with Hardi- Plank siding with 5" spacing. The upper portions of the buildings are stucco finished using a heavy "wet dash" application.

The front units (in the duplex building) are approximately 1650 SF each. The rear yard in-fill unit is 1250 SF plus two enclosed garages. Parking is provided off the lane for a total of three cars.
